Variable flow air conditioning VAV
Air conditioning systems using the Variable Air Volume (VAV) method manufactured by the Dutch company Barcol Air, which can be used to save energy in a variety of applications.
The VAV unit enables temperature control in the air-conditioned area, with an accuracy of 0.5-10C around this work point by continuously controlling the air flow passing through the unit, independent of pressure, by means of a motorized “wing” operated by a DDC controller that interfaces with the building control through BacNet communication. The air flow meter is extremely accurate thanks to 24 measurement points in the cross section of the air channel. A heating battery or heating elements can be added to the VAV unit for the purpose of heating the air (Reheat).
